The Budgetron - what would you do?

If you were the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what would you do instead? Move the sliders up and down to shift the balance of income and expenditure, and decide by how much you would cut or increase the deficit. As of the 2014 Budget, the deficit of expenditure over income was 11.4%.

(To make fine-tuned adjustments, select a slider and use the up and down arrow keys on your keyboard)

This is of course an oversimplification of the decisions the Chancellor has to make every year, missing out the nuances of the difference between a penny off a pint of beer and a pound on car tax, and would not show the impact of increasing spending on defence or reducing spending on benefits, but it gives users a general idea.
